At the heart of the Scientology Volunteer Minister Program are the fundamental Scientology techniques that give the solutions people need. The Scientology Handbook contains them all. You simply pick it up, read it and then apply it to improve any aspect of life and on any scale. Each of the book’s 19 chapters covers a different body of technology for a different area of human activity—from the family to the workplace, from the fundamentals of interpersonal relations to resolving conflicts, education and drug problems. Each chapter contains tools that, when exactly applied, change conditions invariably and for the better. And every chapter is available in booklet form for convenience and to give to others who want effective tools to handle today’s problems. To begin as a Volunteer Minister you simply read the book, starting with the chapter related to the immediate situation you wish to help someone handle and then begin helping them. For ease of use and dissemination, each body of technology in the handbook is separately published in booklet form. The Scientology Volunteer Minister Program is something to DO, not something merely to believe. The tools in The Scientology Handbook, when applied, work. A Volunteer Minister trains in the technology so that he may better help others. The Volunteer Minister Course exists which takes a person through The Scientology Handbook, training him or her in every tool. Shorter courses also exist for each of the individual handbook booklets. These train one to apply a specific piece of the handbook in only a few hours. You receive a certificate after finishing each course and are officially certified as a Volunteer Minister by doing the Volunteer Minister Course at any Church of Scientology.
